Yosemite Library & Wi-Fi Topic Briefing

This briefing is to illustrate to the Yosemite Conservancy that adding Wi-Fi to the YRL will help it continue to make available its collection to its primary user group, researchers and park staff, while attracting other user groups and important information practices to the YRL.

This briefing, made for my LIBR 508 Information Practices in Contemporary Society class, was to cover a topic briefing in 3 pages as well as a 5 minute presentation in class demonstrating a topic briefing pitch.

This topic briefing was my first topic briefing in my LIS career, and included contacting the library in question to ask questions about their internet capabilities. As I did the topic briefing on the fact that they should have wi-fi, I actually changed my mind at the end because of the arguments made by the research librarian in my conversation.
